Freemasonry is open to any man over 18, of good character, regardless of background, profession or belief. There is no single type of Freemason — our members are as varied as the city we meet in.
The best way to join is to be proposed by an existing member. But if you don't know anyone in the lodge, don't let that put you off — get in touch and we'll have a conversation. No pressure, no obligation.
How it works
Have a conversation
Reach out to us. We'll arrange an informal chat — just to answer your questions and see if Freemasonry feels right for you.
Meet the lodge
You'll be invited to meet some of our members socially before any formal steps are taken.
Be proposed
If both sides are happy, a member will propose you. The lodge votes, and if accepted, your Masonic journey begins.
Your Initiation
Your first ceremony — the First Degree — is a memorable occasion. Many members describe it as one of the most meaningful evenings of their lives.
